Good luck mummy and daddy – off to Sri Lanka for a year tomorrow, leaving behind three boys and three Jack Russell’s which will be missed more – who knows!

Planning the next ‘gastros’ dinner for December – 12 boys who take their food very seriously! Everyone brings something to the table and it is becoming more and more extravagant – check out what we had last time….

Mushrooms galore out there at the moment – totally delicious. i was lucky enough to play the Berkshire golf course one weekend and being a rather generous 18 handicapper i found myself in the trees rather regularly – but i couldn’t have been happier as the mushies were everywhere – had them for dinner that night pan fried with a bit of parsley on toast in front of x factor, quickly forgetting my horrendous hook!

By contrast it rained every hour of my week in Cornwall – every single hour – totally miserable but at least the food was warming and delicious!!

I was cooking in Tuscany this week – totally amazing, the markets are spectacular, 12 different types of tomato alone! and the sun shone every single hour we were there.
The most spoiling truffles from the local farmer.
